runways and dreams

April has def been an alright month, and it seems like even though it has some bad times, I think more good is coming out of it.. I never really attended fashion shows before( I know its sad) but this month that seems to be all that I am doing. It started at the end of March when I attended a fashion show that my cousin put together at her college called Gossip & Retro Funk.. I must say that it was a good show( not being bias).Vogue Evolution open the show, and they were on fire.. The designers that were featured had some really nice stuff..I really enjoyed myself ..Then on
Easter Sunday I attended the pink fashion show.. It was to help raise money for breast cancer. I really enjoyed this show a lot. The models were great, the designers had some hot stuff, and the vendors out in the lobby had really nice things for sale... I brought me a really cute pair of earrings...The next show that I am attending is coming up in a few weeks, and they say on the flyer that it will be the hottest show ever, so I am like super excited...Me being a stylist / fashion designer I feel inspired by going to these shows, but at the same time I get a little bummed out.. This is my dream and this is what I really want to do with my life..No more grooming dogs I want to be in the fashion world, but I know it takes time and baby steps. You def have to crawl before you walk, and thats something that I have never done before. I always just wanted to jump right in to things, but honestly in a competive field like this industry..Its not what you know its who you know.. Give me time hopefully you will see my name up there someday with my designs...
So Like I said in the beginning april has had some bad times, and that was somebody hacked into my checking account and stole my money. It totally sucked, and I felt violated. Not to mention I could not pay my bills , or get a new outfit for the fashion show.. So in a crunch situation I quickly threw together a really nice outfit.. I was trying to wear something pink because of the whole theme, but I couldnt afford a new top, and still pay some of my important bills.. So what i did was head to my fav spot Burlington Coat Factory lol, and picked up a set of pink bracelets. Then I went to Dots and brought me a really nice ring, and I only spent $16 ..Of course I have pictures and I want you to tell me what you think..I also wanted to get my nails done, but couldnt afford it , so I went to the store and brought me the ones that come painted already. They look super cute.... Well divas its time for me to go..I have so much work to due, but I will b back soon my little fashionistas...

Groomer by day Fashion stylist by night

This blog post doesnt really have much to do with fashion...I actually need some advice..I am a dog groomer at the moment..Not really my choice of a profession, but hey it pays the bills..My dream is to become a fashion stylist... I have worked as a dog groomer for about 5 years now, and I feel that its holding me back from doing what I really want to do.. I want to go in to a job doing what I love, and I know ... I know... it takes time..I just feel like I need to start putting myself out there ,and trying to get into the business.. With the job I do its very hard to take days off , and I missed out on a lot of oppurtunities ...So what should I do ??? Should I quit the dog grooming business and focus more on my future ??? Or should I hold on to the job and hope the best.. Subject change really fast ..If u notice that my words are one big giant word well that is because the spacebar on my laptop really sucks...grrr its pissing me off( jerk of a spacebar lol)... Anywho so yea please if u read this please give me some feedback... it really would b helpful..Thanks

Jersey girls like to party

Yea I said it right jersey girls like to party, and thats excatly what we did lol.. It was my sisters birthday weekend and we were out looking for a good time.. I decided not to go out shopping so I just went into the jungle to look for an outfit to wear. I think I picked out a nice top,but u tellme what you think??

The first stop of the night was the Rainforest Cafe lol... Yea u read it right lol my sister wanted to go, and who amI to argue with the birthday girl.. We actually had a great time laugh and just joking around.. The food wasnt so great , but the volcano cake that we had was so awesome.. All the little kids in there celebrating their bithdays turning 6, and 7.. Here we are singing happy birthday to a 24 year old lol..

The next stop on our list was New Brunswick to this really cool bar called Harvest moon...

At first when we arrived it was kind of dull,I mean the dj was playing such good music, and no one was dancing... Me and my good friend decided to be the out cast and start partying, and of course people looked at us strange. As the night went on people did start to dance , and party with us... I would def go back to that place..I had such a blast, and ladies there are a lot of cuties in there lol...Well my little fashionistas I have laundry to do... I will be back soon

Ladies night ...here I come

So my shoes arrived earlier then planned, and I was super excited.. The first thing I did was rush to the mall to try to put together an oufit under $30... But seriously its 2012 putting an outfit together for that cheap is impossible lol... I had a hard time trying to find a shirt that went with the shoes, and If you knew me then u would no Im a fan of all black. I searched torrid, forever 21, and I was ready to give up.. So then i wandered into Easy Pickens. I found a really cute black and white varsity jacket that really worked with the shoes. The best part is that the jacket was only 22.99 so that left me with some extra money to buy new eyelashes lol.. I paired the jacket with my black skinny jeans , and a black tank that I brought a while ago.. I must say that I really looked so fierce in this outfit.. especially with the shoes

so what do u think??? I felt like I was looking good, not to mention the jeans hugged my curves just right

I had a great night out and I am so glad I got to wear them : )

A ladies night out

I need a ladies night out...I need to wear my new shoes out so bad, but I am forgetting the big picture.. What the hell can I wear with them?? I need to wear an outfit that is so hot that as soon as I walk in to the room all heads will turn lol.. Times are hard for me this week, and I am going out thursday, and payday is not until friday :( this bites... Well i can either enter the wild jungle called my closet, or hit up the clearence rack at Torrid... HMMMMMM Clearence rack it is lol ... Stay tune for my fab outfit that Im about to put together

My new addiction

So I just started to get into heels.. I used to b a flats kind of girl, but now i have discovered 5 inch heels.. Now im not a tall chick, and I am also a big girl..Nothing sloppy just very curvacious, but you know what I like about a high heel??? It makes u look slimmer. I mean when I am on flats well I look short and wide, but when the heel come on lol well now I look tall, and thick.. woo hoo sexy.. I started off with just one pair , but now Iam out of control and addicted to shoes. I use to envy those who shopped at bakers , and aldo because I have wide feet. Now I shop at torrid , and payless, because the carry shoes for divas withe wide feet. Ok so what was the point of this post lol..I dont know I guess I just wanted to share my addiction with you guys because now I too am addicted to shoes lol.. I just bought a new pair of faux zebra print 5 inch stillettos from torrid.. As soon as they come in I will be posting them up so please stay tuned.

the dilemma

So I am strolling through kmart looking for some items, and I ran across a pair of sparkling pumps... Well if u knew me, then you would know that I have a huge obsession with anything that sparkles lol... I saw they were on sale for like $20 and quickly grabbed them..Well when I got home i noticed that they were a weird color... So now I am stuck with a problem, and that is what the hell can I wear with these damn shoes. Not only is finding something to wear with them an issue, but also where can I wear them..(sigh) I really have to think twice before i grab something sparkly lol
